Billow V2 5 & Ehpro Sthorm 50W box mod

The Billow v2.5 is an interesting case. It came out after the v3, but shares some characteristics of both the v2 and v3. I haven't seen any discussion about the Billow v2.5 on here so I thought I'd give it a quick review and wicking tutorial.

The Billow v2 was very popular, it was one of my favorite RTA's for a long time. Many people disliked the 'boring' style of the v3, the v2.5 brings back the notches.

The top fill is fantastic, the fill slots are huge, you can just pour juice straight from the bottle. Another nice feature of the top cap is that when you unscrew it, the juice flow holes close. When you screw it back on they open again. This lets you take off a tank full of juice and mess with your build, which you could do with the v2

The v2.5 takes the velocity style deck from the v3. Velocity decks are super easy to build on so that is a plus, but this one is much smaller then the v3. I started with 2.5mm coils but they were a tight fit and 3mm are too large. I settled on 2mm 6/7 wrap coils of 36/26 SS316 Claptons.

To wrap it up, I really like this tank. Great top fill, excellent flavor, and the distinctive style of the v2 has returned. The machining is solid and it is only $30. It is definitely more of a flavor tank; it has a bit less airflow than the v3 and the smaller build deck limits what kind of coils you can put it. Less experienced builders might struggle with the smaller build deck and older wicking style, but I used the v2 so much that it was simple for me.

Bonus wicking guide

First, clean and disassemble the tank, and clean the coil (or build a new one)

Next, put in wicks that are snug; not to tight, not too loose. I do a standard scottish roll for mine.

Trim the wicks so they are about this long and fluff them a bit.

Juice up the wicks, then tuck them into the notch like this. Repeat for the other corners.

Make sure the wick isn't sticking too far into the juice channels and put on the deck cover.

Put on the tank assembly, fill it up. and vape!
