Arrived in beautiful Florianopolis, Brazil and checked into my place in Lagoa de Concecaio, where I will be staying during my time in, what the locals call, Floripa. The state of Santa Catarina in Brazil is known for its incredible beaches and beautiful water and the island of Florianopolis contains, some say, over 50 different beaches. One of the most popular beaches and beach towns is Barra da Lagoa.

My first impressions of Brasil were from the Germanic town of Gramado, is the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul but this area of Florianopolis is more what you expect from Brasil.

Golden beaches, curling waves, tanned women! I check out the piscinas naturais, or the natural pools and the beaches surrounding Barra da Lagoa in Florianopolis.
