Sitharaman, during her fifth and the current government’s last full Budget before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, said the government’s focus is on wide-ranging reforms. “India’s rising global profile is because of several reforms.” Sitharaman said India’s per-capita income has doubled and the Indian econony has risen from being 10th to fifth-larget economy in the world.
