Following on from the previous video on ‘HOW TO USE THE ODDSMATCHER’, this video shows you how to calculate lay bets, when matched betting.

If you don’t lay by the correct amount, your profits (or qualifying loss) will be different and may be subject to the final result. By laying by a specific, calculated amount, you can make the same profit/loss regardless of the outcome.

The Standard Calculator, gives a recommended lay bet amount dependent upon:
The type of bet (and offer) being placed
Back bet size
Back & lay odds

There are two versions of the standard calculator; the simple/basic version and the advanced/integrated version. The latter, auto-populates all the bet information, offers ‘lay bet’ integration and has a lot of additional useful features that’ll make matched betting easier and quicker.

The calculator mode should be changed dependant upon the type of bet:
Qualifying bet = “Normal | Qualifier / Arb”
Free bet = “FREE BET (SNR) | Stake Not Returned”

Lay odds have changed (stick or twist)
Back & Lay the same selection
Minimum Odds (T&C’s)
Back odds have changed (you can edit this)
Place back bet first, then place lay bet
Use correct commission
Check liability
“Not enough money available…” split into multiple, smaller, lay bets (or lay out higher lay odds)
