On June 14, 2025 we attended Rosé Day L.A. 2025. We had purchased early bird tickets months ago for $150 each and had very little idea of what to expect of the event since not much information was available online.
The event was held at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas, CA, a gorgeous outdoor location. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find that parking was free, a true rarity in the L.A. area.
One thing that was advertised on the website was that the event had a strict dress code. Attendees were encouraged to wear rosé colored clothes or pastels, but overall the message was that you would be turned away if you weren’t dressed appropriately. We were glad that the website indicated that comfortable, flat shoes were a must, as the ground in the parking lot and inside the event was quite uneven.
So, what did we get for our $150 each? Admission to the event, parking, an 8 hour open bar with rosé wine and cocktails made with vodka, gin, and tequila, water, DJ performances, outdoor games like cornhole, picnic table seating with some umbrellas, and lots of pretty Rosé Day backdrops for those lovely social media-friendly photos. There were a few stands with items to purchase, like jewelry, and there were some cars on display. As we were heading out we did see two skydivers make amazingly accurate landings among the crowd, and there was a rose petal drop from a helicopter as well. Maybe there was more to enjoy after we left (we there there from about 1:30-5:00 p.m.), but this was what we experienced. Note that you cannot bring in your own food, and you can’t even bring in water! The event is of course 21+.
It was a bit disappointing that no food was included in the cost of the ticket, and there wasn’t any swag, either. We had expected to receive something like a Rosé Day bag and reusable tumbler for our drinks, but there didn’t seem to be any giveaways whatsoever, and we were there for almost four hours. There were several food trucks and we did enjoy the food we ordered, but each meal was around $17-20.
The VIP tables seem to be the way to go at this event, as they include comfortable seating in the shade with bottle service and access to gourmet food stands, but be aware that these tables are staggeringly expensive: $5,000+ tables remained on the day of the event, but it’s possible that there were less expensive table available earlier.
All in all it was a lovely experience—great for a relaxing afternoon of people watching and day drinking in a lovely location. We enjoyed ourselves but if we ever did it again we’d likely bring a blanket and try to stake out some space under a tree at the beginning of the event. We’d probably eat beforehand and maybe get some nibbles later in the day to counteract the wine and cocktails. In truth there isn’t much more to do, so we’d recommend maybe meeting up with some friends there so you can catch up while enjoying the atmosphere, music, people watching, and the drinks. And be aware that the area is in a total dead zone for cell service, although they do provide free public WiFi.
