I love these blinds! They are natural bamboo cut into strips, so there are variations between the slats & there is some open space between them but I've tested looking in through them & I couldn't really see anything. They are super easy to install, & look great in my place!

These roll-up blinds fit the bill just fine, and answered my question with respect to what to do when the sun isn't shining through that window during the summer: I can roll 'em up and out of the way. Plus this is light enough, I feel reasonably certain the heavy-duty double-sided mounting tape and 3M plastic picture hooks I used to mount the blind on a metal-cased door will hold well enough.
