(All recordings made before 2021 have been remastered for improved audio and video.) Director Stanley Donen told an amusing story about how Brown & Freed wrote a new song for SINGIN' IN THE RAIN that was "incredibly similar" to Cole Porter's "Be a Clown," which he composed four years earlier for THE PIRATE. Note the songs' similarities, especially in the final sections. I arranged them in different keys, so I wouldn't inadvertently start playing the wrong one! This is a showcase for Andy LaTorre's Digital Toy Counter, to which I've added a few extra sounds.
