When is Yom Kippur? This year (5778 / 2017) Yom Kippur begins at sundown on Friday, 9/29. Complete schedule and guide for this year's Jewish holidays: http://bit.ly/2vk5pFZ

WHAT is Yom Kippur? "Yom Kippur" means "day of atonement" and it is considered the holiest day of the year for Jews. We fast - abstaining from food, water, sex, and other creature comforts - from sundown on one day until sundown the following day, in order to make up for fractures in our relationship with God in the prior year, and to inspire us to make up for fractures in our relationships with other people.

Rosh Hashanah is the first day (first two days, actually) of the new Jewish year. It marks the beginning of 10 days of intense introspection, commitment to improving ourselves and strengthening our relationships, and hope for a sweet new year.
