A massive college admissions conspiracy was revealed in Boston federal court today, as 50 people nationwide were charged in the largest school admissions scandal ever prosecuted by the Department of Justice. Prosecutors detailed a conspiracy involving a web of bribes, cheating or changing scores on standardized tests, and outright lies — in some cases including applications with photoshopped photos of students playing sports they had never played. A former head coach of the Yale women's soccer team and a former sailing coach at Stanford also pled guilty for accepting bribes; other defendants include actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Laughlin. Jim Braude was joined by Elizabeth Heaton, Vice President at College Coach which helps families navigate college admissions; and Peter Roby, former athletic director at Northeastern University.
