Fortnite season 9 is finally here with the "Future is yours" trailer to launch the season. Season 9 is taking place in the future of Fortnite long after the destruction from the active volcano with many cities rebuilt and a new map. The trailer of Fortnite season 9 features "Bunker Jonesy" and "Peely" as they survive the destruction of the volcano inside a vault or bunker until the destruction is over. "Bunker Jonesy" and "Peely" both have fun until they realize there is no food inside the fridge but an empty can. "Bunker Jonesy" then gets a devious idea and turns "Peely" into a banana shake until he is found by "Sentinel" as a very long haired bearded Jonesy becoming "Bunker Jonesy" and kicking off Fortnite season 9.

Fortnite season 9 also gives players "Fortbyte" a new challenge which has players doing multiple challenges and collecting or earning battle pass tiers to unlock a secret character once 90 "Fortbyte" are collected.

Fortnite season 9 also has daily and weekly challenges to complete for both free and paid players. Paid players will be able to unlock everything Fortnite season 9 has to offer while free players will not be able to unlock the "Fortbyte" challenges of the secret skin.

Fortnite season 9 new map features many areas from the season 8
map, however, have floating buildings called "Sky platforms" which feature both slipstream tunnels and loot as well as "Windmills" and "Slipstream tunnels".

One of the biggest map changes in Fortnite season 9 is of "Neo Tilted" and "Mega Mall" which feature blimps and many new buildings and a futuristic look to the game of Fortnite.

Fortnite season 9 Battle Pass is also offering many new skins, new wraps, new toys, etc and offer the ability to unlock a secret character after collecting 90 "Fortbytes".
