Описание к видео The oldest song in the world, 1st or the 2nd century CE, Seikilos Epitaph|YKband

The artists YK band (Yerko Lorca & Kuan Yin) interpret with the lyre of stele from Luna, their version of the oldest preserved Greek song complete, the Seikilos Epitaph.

The Seikilos epitaph is the oldest surviving complete musical composition, including musical notation. The epitaph has been variously dated, but seems to be either from the 1st or the 2nd century CE.

The lyrics sing in ancient greeks, the meaning is
"While you live, shine
have no grief at all
life exists only for a short while
and time demands his tribute."

The Epitaph was discovered in 1883 by Sir W. M. Ramsay in Tralleis, a small town near Aydın.
