Half Moon - The Turtle and the Monkey [Ryan Hurst, The Walking Dead Soundtrack]

Описание к видео Half Moon - The Turtle and the Monkey [Ryan Hurst, The Walking Dead Soundtrack]

I was sad there wasn't a high quality version of this brilliant song on YouTube, so I bought the vinyl just for this!

Recorded from the official 'Half Moon Live in Concert' 12" Vinyl using an RCA to 1/4 stereo jack cable running from the record player into an SSL 2 Audio Interface (with 4K enabled) which then ran into a Macbook Air and was recorded in Logic Pro. No post processing, just the raw audio.

I do not own the rights to this song and will not profit from this video.

Lyrics:
I'm a miser when I'm rich but a gambler if I'm broke
And if we're gonna laughing, I'd wanna be in on the joke
Sometimes I think you show me scabs just to tempt me to tear them away
But making me draw blood will never make me want to stay

Oh, oh, it's sad but true
Love is never enough and after just a few months we are not immune
Oh, we used to stay up late staring in each other's eyes
Now I'm waking early to call you up and apologise

Like the turtle in the woods just sticking to your path
I'm a monkey in the trees, swinging branch to branch
I love the way you move, you love the way I rock n' roll
But if our worlds collide, it's bound to take its toll

Oh, oh, it's sad but true
Love is never enough and after just a few months we are not immune
Oh, we used to stay up late staring in each other's eyes
Now I'm waking early to call you up and apologise

You're hard of hearing when I'm whispering love songs late at night
I'm used to dinner and drinks but now all we ever do is fight
You're leaving liquor in the laundry 'cause you love watching me playin' hide and seek
You got me running in circles for a half hearted kiss on the cheek

Oh, oh it's sad but true
Love was never enough and after just a few months we're not immune
Oh, we used to stay up late starin' in each other's eyes
Now I'm waking early to call you up and apologise

Oh, oh it's a cold hard fact
We said a lot of things you know now we can't take back
And oh, oh we used to hold each other tight under sparkling trees
And oh, oh now I'm begging for you back on my scraped up knees
And oh, we used to spend all night staring in each other's eyes
Now I'm waking early to call you up and apologise
