I really didn’t want to make this Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero video — being negative all the time messes with my mental health. But at this point, I have no choice. The silence around Sparking Zero DLC3 has gotten absolutely ridiculous. We’re at the end of August 2025, and there’s been zero transparency from Bandai Namco.
Fans thought we’d get some kind of teaser at Gamescom 2025… nothing. Not a trailer, not a picture, not even a short acknowledgement. Surely, V-Jump would cover DLC3? Wrong again — their focus was all on Nintendo Switch 2. Meanwhile, Sparking Zero players are left in the dark.
In an alternate universe where Bandai Namco actually communicated with their fans, we’d have:
A transparent post about when to expect DLC3 news.
Early teasers or images in V-Jump.
Even a vague release timeframe.
Instead, we’ve gotten none of that. And the sad reality is, this isn’t new. Bandai used to promote content way ahead of time — Xenoverse 2 DLC, DBZ Kakarot expansions, even older DBZ titles. Now, they barely promote their own game.
People are frustrated, and rightfully so. My tweet about this mess got 300k views overnight. Fans aren’t whining — they’re asking for basic communication. Beyond DLC3, Sparking Zero has no new stages, no new costumes, no new custom story missions, no new modes, nothing to keep the game alive. The game already lacks content, and Bandai refuses to address it.
At this point, I’m asking real questions:
Will we ever get characters outside the Season Pass?
Are new stages possible as DLC?
Is Bandai quietly preparing for a sequel instead of supporting the game?
Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded if Sparking Zero had live service elements — because right now, they’re doing less than the bare minimum. It feels like they’ve abandoned the game.
I’ve been covering Dragon Ball games on YouTube for over a decade — from Raging Blast 2, Battle of Z, Xenoverse 1 & 2, FighterZ, DBZ Kakarot and now Sparking! Zero. I’ve seen eras of hype and community energy. But today? Things feel barren. Not just for me, but for many long-time creators who’ve retired or gone silent.
Maybe if we had another big-budget DB game like Xenoverse 3, FighterZ 2, or a new Budokai from Dimps, things wouldn’t feel this dead. But Sparking! Zero is the only major modern DB game, and Bandai’s lack of effort has drained all excitement.
Other anime games get criticized too — Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles 2, My Hero Academia Alls Justice, even Hunter x Hunter titles. But at least they try to engage their communities. With Bandai Namco and Sparking Zero, we get silence.
At this point, maybe we’ll get a teaser in September. Maybe a trailer. Maybe nothing. Either way, the damage is done: Bandai’s lack of transparency is killing the hype for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero DLC3. And that’s the sad reality.
If you feel the same frustration, let me know in the comments. Do you think DLC3 is still coming? Or has Bandai unofficially killed this game’s future?
