If two hands are better than one, then two cordless power tools are often better than one, especially if they come bundled in tough kit box with batteries and a charger.

In this Toolstop TV video we’re looking at the DCK276P2 twin pack from Dewalt.

This is a multi-trade twin pack, perfect for construction jobs, kitchen fitting and will slot right into any existing Dewalt kit you may already own.

In the TOUGHSYSTEM box you get the DCD996 combi-drill and the DCF887 impact driver.

Both tools benefit from the upgraded Dewalt brushless motor offering higher power outputs, longer tool service life and longer runtimes from the bundled 5Ah XR batteries.

Let’s start with the DCD996 combi-drill.

From the metal nitro-carburised chuck with carbide inserts, through to the 3 speed gear box, this is a combi-drill for professionals who won’t accept any compromise.

Control the RPM of the chuck across the 3 gears while having control over the blows per minute, up to a massive 38,250bpm, the drill has up to 95Nm of torque on tap. The efficiency of the motor is class leading, with Dewalt claiming that the new, refined brushless motor will give you up to 34% more power than its predecessors.

The motor’s airflow has been improved to help it deal with the huge jobs you’ll task it with, especially with a top-end RPM of 2250.

And finally, the new LED job light. This is positioned at the base of the drill so that it properly illuminates the bit in the chuck, and is controlled via three stages, going from 2.6 lumens all the way to 60 lumens, allowing you to use it like a torch in even the darkest corners of the job site.

Also in the kit is the DCF887, the successor to the popular DCF886.

Again, we find a powerful brushless motor offering you up to 3250rpm and a huge 205Nm of torque, partnered with up to 3800 impacts per minute. This is all offered via the trigger and the 3 speed gear box so that you have full control over all your screwdriver applications.

And this power and control comes in a body that’s only 134mm in width, so it’s ideal for driving into tough materials in tight spots. Chuck illumination is provided by the 3 LED halo ring around the chuck, which itself is a standard 1/4” hex.

The kit is powered by the supplied two 5Ah batteries, which are fed by the multi-volt charger.

So that’s the DCK276P2 twin pack from Dewalt, and it’s available now from Toolstop and qualifies for Toolstop Finance.
