This focused working session gathers GTA Destination members to accelerate the development of Good Travel Experiences (GTEs) in line with the EU Green Transition Directive. With sustainability expectations rising across Europe, destinations are looking for clear frameworks that help them promote visitor experiences that are both meaningful and regulation ready.

The session guides participants through the practical methodology for identifying, assessing, selecting, and showcasing GTEs and their providers. Drawing on recent training, field insights, and examples from pioneering destinations, the workshop highlights how curated experiences can strengthen destination identity while meeting emerging compliance requirements.

Key discussion points include the EU’s evolving rules on green claims, pathways to funding, and the structure of a legally sound Good Travel label. The workshop also encourages collaborative problem solving to ensure that GTEs are not only credible and high quality, but also easy for destinations to integrate into their broader management and marketing systems.
