Mudkip is my No. 1 favorite Pokemon, and I'm one of those players who haven't evolved Mudkip purely because of this. I might be missing out on Muddy Water and Mega Swampert, but seeing Mudkip clear stages as is makes it very much worth it.

Because of those omissions though, I have to get a bit creative with activating Mudkip's multipliers, which is where Ingo comes in. He's the most reliable accuracy debuffer not named Swampert, and his Sandstorm also activates Earth Power's Surging Sand 5 multiplier. I then switch to Rain Dance once Mudkip syncs for the innate rain boost, and with Hide and Sync from the grid, it makes for a great nuke. Since I finally decided to EX Ingo, the boost also helps make up for Mudkip's lower power, and his bulk under sand is unmatched.

I initially had Clemont in the third slot for more Mud Slap spamming, but I found myself falling short of clearing either Onix or the sides quickly enough. So I switched to Roxanne for the SpA boosts, and the Defense boosts also helped Ingo tank better. More importantly, Wide Guard gave Mudkip an extra turn to deal damage, and even if I mistimed the end and queued late with a move, Roxanne gave a safety net to ensure the clear.
