Woodturning a Wig Stand

In this video, I create a wig stand by woodturning the parts on my lathe. Many woodturning guilds and clubs across Canada and the US make wig stands to donate to cancer patients who undergo treatments where the ladies lose their hair and then use a wig. In this case, one of the woodturning guilds I belong to here in Ontario gets their wig stand kits from Woodchuckers, located in Scarborough, Ontario. This project includes both side grain/bowl turning and spindle turning, so it is a great project to hone your skills and at the same time to donate to a very worthwhile cause.
