We went to Shangri La in Oahu. It's a paradise home that Doris Duke created, inspired by her travels around the Middle East. She was inspired by locations such as the Taj Mahal and other beautiful locations on her honeymoon. Shangri La is truly a magnificent example of an unexpected beauty in Oahu.

ProTip: All visits are done through Honolulu Museum of Art and reserved online ($20/adult). Reservations are limited as only 3 groups of ~25 people go per day. The tour consists of ~60 min guided tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide.
