Hello, been a few weeks.

Progress has been pretty steady, but lots of things that just don't show well. Significant time has gone into nuts and bolts work like LODS, transitions and some audio changes.

However now I'm at the point where I'd like to show a few things.

The Saettia is nearing a fully functional state -- with the rigging and ship controls now fully operational. Cargo and provisioning systems are in place, along with the meshes to show this. Lighting and effects have been tuned a bit as well.

Lighting overall has had a number of changes. The player can now toggle the ship lights at will, and environmental factors can cause lights to go out as well, no more submersed lighting. I'm considering wether to add oil as a provision -- where you wouldn't need to manage each light individually, as the larger ships can have a dozen or more, but instead you would need a supply of oil in your provisions to be able to toggle them on, and it would be consumed at a slow rate when on. I worry that would add a frustrating degree of tedium, so I'm open to suggestions on the matter.

I am increasingly confident of a playable demo being available later this year. My aim for this is to be both a hook for player interest, as well as being a playable tutorial. I'd like to avoid as much text box style prompts as possible, but recognize that the controls here can be complex and not necessarily intuitive for players. So I've added more in depth tutorials, but given players the ability to just skip them if desired.
