🔍 Causes of High Eosinophils (Eosinophilia)
1. Allergic Reactions
Asthma
Allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
Eczema
Drug allergies
2. Parasitic Infections
Especially intestinal parasites (e.g., hookworms, roundworms)
Often more common in areas with poor sanitation or in travelers
3. Autoimmune or Inflammatory Conditions
Eosinophilic esophagitis or gastroenteritis

4. Skin Disorders

A low eosinophil count—called eosinopenia—means there are fewer eosinophils than normal in your blood. In most cases, this is not a cause for concern and often does not indicate a serious health issue.
