As an Air Force Veteran, I wanted to summarize the horrible decision to deploy U. S. Marines to LA! The use of active duty U.S. military in Los Angeles to confront protesters and rioters is a dangerous and heartbreaking move. This video explores why it’s not only a strategic mistake, but a moral one—especially when the people on the streets may be family, friends, or neighbors of those in uniform.

We examine the differences between the Black and Hispanic struggles, and why they’re not always aligned—our pain, history, and pathways have often been different. But that does not mean we don’t care. As African Americans, our hearts break seeing families torn apart by immigration enforcement.

We also dive into the historic role of Black protest—how America has always feared our organizing power, our ability to disrupt economies, and our demand to be heard. That’s why the response is often immediate and forceful when it’s us.

This isn’t just about protests. It’s about morality, humanity, and the dangerous line we cross when we militarize our cities instead of listening to our people.
