Kia has partnered with Wallbox to enable Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capabilities for all trims of the Kia EV9, allowing owners to use their vehicle's battery to power their home during outages or to reduce energy costs by offsetting peak-rate electricity usage. To utilize this feature, customers must purchase the Wallbox Quasar 2, a lightweight bi-directional DC charger capable of up to 12kW of power, which supports both fast charging and discharging as well as solar surplus storage.
