Gramvousa is a peninsula in the west of Crete, Greece. At the end of the peninsula after the last village of Kaliviani is the island of Imeri Gramvousa and the smaller islet of Agria Gramvousa. Imeri Gramvousa is the largest of the islands and rocks and at the top of the hill (134m) there is a Venetian Castle better known as Gramvousa Fortress. From Gramvousa island the peninsula of Balos is visible. There are daily cruises from Kissamos to Gramvousa island and the Balos lagoon.
