The Patient Empowerment Approach to Health Care | DOCS Outside the Box

Education of our patients and providers is at the core of DOCS Outside the Box and Kids Outside the Box. For the patients, we call it Patient Empowerment. This puts health back into the hands of the patient.

Because we offer holistic health care and traditional medicine, our patients have a choice. Patient Empowerment comes in when we shed light on why a patient may be experiencing less than great health, educate them on all the health enhancing options available to them and then they get to choose which route they want to go.

Knowledge and choice are very powerful, especially with regard to health and wellness.

For our providers, they are educated weekly with classes and meetings with the docs each morning to go over the patient files of all who are coming in that day. This is part of their Holistic Residency.

At DOCS, we consider the whole practice a teaching facility. This allows for the upliftment and empowerment of everyone.
