Epiphone's new version of the 1961 Les Paul (SG)! Jon said WHAT??

Guitar lovers can be quite outspoken. Sometimes we say controversial things, things that the manufacturers might take issue with. But this is America, right? It was this morning...
So we have here an Epiphone 1961 Les Paul SG Standard Reissue. It sports a 2-piece solid mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck, CTS pots, Mallory caps, Switchcraft jacks/switches, and GIBSON BURSTBUCKER PICKUPS! Yes, American Gibson Burstbucker pickups - the favorites of many players.
There are more specs common to the Gibson brand than to Epiphone's. So, why isn't this a Gibson?
I'll just leave this here. Comment away. I have a bad feeling about this...
