Blue Beacon Truck Wash

Описание к видео Blue Beacon Truck Wash

Keeping any vehicle clean can be a challenge but it is especially true for full time RVers. Most RV parks restrict washing of vehicles which makes it really difficult if you don't have a regular home to get back to. For those of us who live in a vehicle this can be particularly challenging.

We can take our towed (or towing) vehicle to a normal car wash, although that is more expensive than doing it at home. But there aren't too many car washes that can handle a 40 foot motor home or other large RV, so what are we to do?

We are seeing more parks relax the rules a bit. In some cases, if you don't abuse the privilege, just asking can get you an OK to wash your vehicles. Other parks are seeing this as another income opportunity and allow vehicle washing for a small fee. It really doesn't make much sense because I have washed our 40 foot motor home using less than half a tank (100 gallon tank) of water.

We've used various truck washes but Blue Beacon seems to be in a lot of places, often very near a truck stop so you can also get fuel at the same stop. The process is about the same: there are generally more than one bay and a queue of waiting vehicles. Mostly it moves pretty quick and it definitely moves right along once you enter the bay. There are several people all doing part of the vehicle at the same time, and they want to process as many as they can so it is a fast process. Often the wait in the line is longer than the time in the bay. And they will do both of our vehicles completely. That isn't as good for the towed vehicle as the water on the RV tends to blow off and get the front of the car a bit dirty just after being washed, but it is something we just live with.

Blue Beacon is not sponsoring this and we have no financial connection with them nor any compensation from them. We just like their service and wanted to pass it along.
