Areca nut is a major cash crop in the Northeast of India and probably Northeast is also a major consumer of Areca nut. Though recent researches have show Areca nut to be mildly carcinogenic (cancer causing) It has been for ages been grown and consumed not only in the Northeast of India, but the whole of Southeast Asia and South Asia.

In this episode I am going to show you how to cut, peel and consumer Areca nut the way we do it in Northeast India.
