I couldn’t remember if John Byrne had mentioned Joe Staton as one of his artistic influences or not. Looking back at this old E-Man by Staton with a Rog-2000 back up story by Byrne it’s easy to make the comparison. I’ve always enjoyed the slightly cartoonish aspect of Byrne’s art. It’s fun to see how much more prevalent that aesthetic was in his early work. Please join me for a look inside.
