Taylor and I stop by Clay Cliffs scenic area on our way up to Mt Cook.

Taylor is a big fan of Hoodoos, which Bryce Canyon in Utah is known for. Clay Cliffs was not as spectacular as Bryce, but we were able to get up close and personal with the rock, which you can't do at Bryce. It was a good stop that was totally unplanned and made for a fun mid-morning hike.
