Dinosaur King is an anime based on a semi-popular arcade game of the same name. In both the show and the game, the plot is to recapture various elemental dinosaurs, and return them to a card state, much like Pokemon and Pokeballs. It ran for a total of two seasons, and during its run had it's own trading card game, as well as a few toys, which were small dinosaur figurines as well as Dino-Holders and Dino-Bracers from the show. The first season had a few multi-episode DVD releases, but there was never a complete series home release.

Back in 2018, Discotek Media acquired the license to distribute the anime Dinosaur King. They released the two seasons separately on Standard Definition Blu-ray Disc (SDBD). Initially, Season 1 was $60, and Season 2 was $40. I wasn't willing to pay that much, so I decided to wait until a sale. On the website Rightstufanime, the price dropped to $44 for season 1, so I decided to pick it up. Thankfully, it came with a slipcover, so my collection is now complete. I do need to glue down the top corners of the case, as they came without glue and bent.
