MotoeXotica is pleased to announce another cult classic from the sixties, this 1969 Volkswagen Beetle Baja. Only this Baja Bug has an upgrade that you don’t normally see on your typical “1300”…a monster turbo charger! The builder of this Baja spared no expense on the details of this VW, from the brilliant green paint to the 8 ball shift knob, completes the theme of this one-off creation!

The Beetle is the longest-running and most-manufactured car of a single design platform anywhere in the world with over 21 million cars produced between 1938 and 2003. Characteristics of the “1300” have made it one of the most nostalgic and desired classic Beetle for customizing…like this one!

Finished in a brilliant Synergy Green Metallic, this “Baja” shows well with only very minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. The previous owner used flat black graphics to tastefully break up the metallic green. This bug comes equipped with a Type 1 Baja-Broad Eye off road body kit which includes fiberglass hood, four fenders and engine cover. Custom tubular engine protector/ rear bumper with tubular protective side runners. The headlights and custom tail lights are in excellent condition and perform their intended function. All the trim is present and complete (sporting a period correct “black-out” treatment) and shows extremely well. The side mirrors are Vitoloni which are highly desirable and in very good shape.

Inside, the Corbeau “GT” black cloth front seats have an excellent support and are very comfortable. The back seat has been removed to make room for giant Big Thunder speakers. Black carpet is used tastefully to tie together the entire roomy interior floor with matching black door panels. The weather-stripping is pliable, with little or no signs of drying, tearing or shrinkage. The green dashboard is a continuation of the exterior of the car and look fantastic. All the VDO gauges (oil pressure, temperature and boost) are in place and have correct appearance and function. In addition, there is a Auto-meter tachometer and shift light mounted on the “A” pillar. The four spoke Grant GT steering wheel is in very good condition along with a Retro Sound system hooked up to Pioneer/Swiss Audio amplifier.

This ’69 Baja Bug is stuffed in the rear with a VWturbokits.com A/R:.70 turbo charged 2.0 liter Volkswagen flat four engine fed by a Holley 4 barrel carburetor. Power is transferred to the wheels by a Hurst style shifter and 4-speed manual transmission. TiAL sport wastegate and custom heat wrapped headers to turbo exhaust gives this VW a great sound. A heavy duty race suspension with adjustable coil-overs on all four corners. The 15-inch flat black American Racing rims with rear Mickey Thompson performance tires to complete the look…and feel!

This modified ’69 Baja bug is a triple threat, either for the street, strip or sand, it will take you anywhere you wish to go…just a whole lot quicker than you remember VW Beetles being able too! GET OUT AND DRIVE!

Current mileage on the odometer shows 51,521 miles, sold as is with a mileage exempt title.
