My guest today is Mc STORMY! We spoke about his long and colorful career as an MC, what inspires and moves him and much more... Tom (Stormy) experienced touring with live bands and has been a strong and constant fixture of the jungle/d&b/dubstep scenes here in Barcelona. He has experienced it all and therefore a lot of knowledge is coming from this artist and we can all learn from. From London to Barcelona, Stormy has a long list of performances with Jungle Drum & Bass and Dubstep masters such as Remarc, Fabio, Spirit, N-Type, DJ Hybrid, Bladerunner, Mala, Sully, Aries, Dilinja, Hatcha, Fava, Furney and Technical Itch to name just a few. This guy knows how, where and when to spray his bars in the dance.

Coming from the UK with experience as a DJ/MC, Stormy arrived in Barcelona in 2000 and that same year he began his first performances in the city with all the main collectives that started the Barcelona Drum & Bass scene (Sky Funk, Essential DnB, Dubcelona). Later he created Rinse'n'Roll, the first radio show dedicated to Jungle Drum & Bass in Barcelona, which was active for more than 3 years. This radio show gave rise to the foundation of his own collective Nube9, carrying out numerous events. Later on he went on to become a regular MC for Jungle Jungle, one of Barcelona’s biggest and most successful Jungle DnB events for many years.

Stormy has also been a member of the Barxino collective, who mixed electronic music with world music in a Sound System format touring Spain and Europe. After this Stormy joined the group 08001, a multicultural group with 18 members from 10 different countries with whom he toured all over Europe.

Stormy was also part of the collective B.Low, bringing Dubstep to Spain since its inception and making up the ground force team for a DMZ residency in Spain.

Stormy’s last live music project was with a Jazz-HipHop fusion band “The Last Minute Experience” with whom he toured throughout Spain. In 2016 Stormy was one of the founding members of the SUBconscious Jungle Drum and Bass collective focusing on bringing pure Jungle DnB to Barcelona booking artists such as DJ Hybrid and Technical Itch. Stormy was joined by Morwenna Junglist in 2018 who helped fully establish the brand as Barcelona’s home for Jungle music. In 2021 they created the Big Kharma collective pushing bass music, particularly 140 culture as a medicine and antidote. As well as being an MC he is currently returning to the decks going back to his original DJ roots as is resident at SUBconscious and Big Khrama parties.
