J-K: One terrorist gunned down, two on run after attack on Army convoy near Assan Mandir in Battal

Terrorists fired upon an Army convoy near Asan, Sunderbani Sector, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Akhnoor on October 28. Swift retaliation by own troops ensured the foiling of the attempt ensuring no injuries. The area has been cordoned off and a joint search operation has been launched by J&K police and security forces. However, one terrorist has been gunned down and two have been hiding after terrorists near Asan, Sunderbani Sector. BMP-II, an Infantry Combat Vehicle also known as APC ‘Sarath’ has been deployed at the encounter site in Akhnoor. An army vehicle was fired upon in the Battal area of Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor, said Army officials on October 28. The Army officials added that no injury or casualty was reported and a search operation has been launched
