Shawn didn’t hold back: “I have anxiety. I have a low sex drive. I have a very average dick. I only come, like, once every three days… I’m going to be terrible as a performer.” But that’s exactly what the production wanted — realness over perfection.

Jumping into the spotlight transformed Shawn’s perspective, both personally and professionally. He talks candidly about the self-discovery that came with performing, the challenges he faced, and how the experience even inspired him to make healthier choices (goodbye, drinking; hello, anxiety management). Shawn also highlights the crucial lesson every performer should know: building trust and a sense of safety with your partner is far more important than any physical prowess.

Now, Shawn’s come full circle. He’s directing others in the very project where his journey began.
