What I think is actually the basic form of a Jazz Blues, a foundational Jazz Guitar lesson.

Spoiler Alert: It's a lot easier than you may have been led to believe.

When I first got into playing Jazz Guitar, like many people I was coming from a blues rock background. Having mainly been improvising over one-chord vamps using blanket scales, all of a sudden I was trying to change to a different chord scale every one or two bars!

Not being the most talented student, it was 'too much too soon' for me. And to be honest my jazz blues playing sucked for many years. Looking back I think there is a much easier way...

In this lesson on the jazz blues progression, I present what I think is a much better place to start, and also what is a very practical foundation that all other jazz blues progressions are built on.
