Speakers
Gabriela Abbud, PT, Associate Teaching Professor, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine – Physical Therapy, Calgary Coordinator of Clinical Education

Gabriela holds a BSc PT from University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and a MSc in Exercise Science from Concordia University, Canada. She obtained her physiotherapy equivalence in Canada in 2009. Since then, she has worked in both the French and English environments, in different areas, including acute care, outpatient neurological rehabilitation and return to work. She joined the University of Alberta in 2013 as a teaching assistant for the Internationally Educated Physiotherapist Bridging Program while continuing to do clinical work. In 2016 Gabriela joined the University of Alberta as a full-time Instructor at the Calgary Satellite.

Heather Bredy, PT, Associate Teaching Professor, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine – Physical Therapy, Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education

Heather graduated from the University of Alberta and has worked clinically since that time. She joined the Department of Physical Therapy as a full-time teaching professor in 2011.

Her teaching involvement is in the musculoskeletal stream of the MScPT program. She is currently the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education for the Department of Physical Therapy.

Sean FitzGerald PT
In addition to his role as Practice Advisor with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta, Sean is the owner of Jasper Physiotherapy & Health Centre and is a frequent supervisor of physiotherapy students.
