Maruzzella. Renato Carosone

Maruzzella (Marisa Allasio) is in love with Salvatore (Massimo Serato), but Salvatore is infatuated with Donna Carmela (Yvette Lebon) who is the step-mother of Maruzzella. Besides, Carmela deprived Maruzzella of her inheritance. When Salvatore asks Renato (Renato Carosone), an old school-mate of his, to stay with him, the situation is slowly resolved.

Renato Carosone (Naples, January 3, 1920 - Rome, May 20, 2001) was one of the most important Italian singers of Neapolitan song, and one of the main interpreters of pop music of the postwar period. The song Maruzzella, inspired by Marisa Allasio, was composed by Renato Carosone with lyrics by Enzo Bonagura and appeared on the album Carosello Carosone (1955).
