HOW TO SHOOT SAFE STEEP APPROACHES

I take you through a steep approach into a confined area. We talk about how to avoid vortex ring state, settling with power, or even overpitching. I talk about how the approach should be made slowly and that you shouldn't allow yourself to have a decent rate of greater than 500 feet per minute. This is a common landing for forestry pilots dropping people off in logging sites.
