Cushioned Nail Design Tutorial

Heya Duck in today’s video we are going to do a cushioned nail let's get cracking!

I'll be working on Aleana today, I have a sticky tab on the fake nail bed ready for a tip to go on but before I do that I’m going to change the shape because I want something a little bit different for this kind of design so ill start by filing the tip into the shape I want then I can press that on to my sticky tab and I’m all set ready to go.

Then I'll give this a super thin base coat and cure that, and then I will use Acrygel. I will mix that with some cosmetic pigment powder to change the colour. I'll also need a pallet and a spatula for the mixing, so I'll place a squeeze for the Acrygel onto my pallet ill add in some of the pigment and then I'll get that mixed through. We should be left with a bright pink Acrygel and I’m going to scoop that up and I'll scrape that onto my nail tip. Then I will use my Mr Button brush and some clean-up solution to spread that out across the nail nice and evenly and I'll give it a smooth finish then without curing I'll take some alloy pieces and squish those into the design to create that cushioned look and then ill do the same with a few micro-beads when its all full of trinkets that can go in for a cure.

For my next design, I’m going to use clear acrygel and I'll mix that with the black ink to make a black acrygel when I have that mix I'll follow the same process laying the acyrgel onto the nail, to add some stickers to this design I’m going to give them a layer of topcoat to add a little bit of rigidity to them and then they will press into the acrygel a bit easier ill press a few coloured gems into the acrygel as well and then that can go in for a cure.

I’ll give both of the nails a topcoat making sure the topcoat doesn’t pool in any of the areas and that's it! I hope you enjoyed the video and I’ll catch you in the next one T’Rah Duck!
