Timecode with the Sony FS7 for our 48HOURS film, thanks to the Sony XDCA-FS7 Extension Unit for FS7

Normally you can't properly use timecode with the very popular Sony FS7 (as if you only want to use V Locks, then the Tilta FS-T01 V-Lock Battery Plate is going to be far far cheaper).

But unusually, this time we were using the Sony XDCA-FS7 Extension Unit for the PXW-FS7. Makes it easy to hook up my Tentacle Sync E timecode box to the FS7! Good news for the editors.

Also featured in this video, the Fujinon MK 18-55mm T2.9! Would love to get one for myself, although it is very "affordable" for a cinema zoom lens, still a tad too expensive for me! But it would be a dreamy combo with my Sony PMW-F3 camera (as you can swap out the mount on the Fujinon from E Mount to FZ Mount, or even MFT Mount!).

This was filmed on my usual Panasonic G6 that I vlog with, using the Aputure A.Lav direct into the G6, with a Panasonic 25mm f1.7 lens (camera operator being our post sound editor: Jake Hanley)
