This is Geoff at Trev Deeley Motorcycles, your home for Harley-Davidson in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and today, we've got something huge for you.

Behold the Road Glide 3!!

Just when you thought two wheels were fun, we've got three wheels of fun on here. Now, there are three trike models in the Harley-Davidson lineup, and this one is my favorite because it feels like my bike when I sit on it. You jump in the saddle, and you're looking at a Road Glide, and you have all those styling cues of the amazing shark-nose fairing on this really cool bike. The front half looks amazing, and then you have all the utility and function of a trike in the back. And I can't wait to tell you about the rear end on this baby.

New in the last couple of years, Harley-Davidson has gone ahead and matched the wheels to the front. So your rear wheels, which are basically running on car tires, have a matched cast wheel that looks exactly like the front wheel. It really ties that styling queue together. In previous years of the trike models, the wheel has had the standard Road Glide or the standard two-wheel up front, and then kind of a mismatched wheel at the back. And now you have this beautiful, tied-in, tight, tidy piece of amazing rolling art.

That Road Glide fairing is a classic look rolling down the road. You know you're looking at when you see this fairing. That is a Road Glide, and then as it rolls past, you're like, is that a trike? Heck yeah, that's a trike! And on the back, you have the cool bobbed fenders. One of the really cool things about the trikes that Harley-Davidson makes, it's not a kit; it's a proprietary rear end that is made by Harley to function perfectly as a trike. This is the way three wheels should be done on a motorcycle.

Let's get into the cool features. You've all seen a Road Glide; you know what they look like. Let's focus on the back half of this thing. It is a big, heavy bike, and it turns a little bit differently than riding a standard motorcycle. But what you have here is the planted power of the Milwaukee-Eight 114 motor straight to the back of these beautiful cast wheels.

For your passenger, there are areas in the back here where you can get hand grips. The hand grips come standard on this motorcycle for your passenger to hold on to on the back, and you can put a rider backrest on this motorcycle. It will allow the trunk to open and keep your passenger from flying off the back.

In terms of pure functionality on this motorcycle, motor-tricycle, motorcycle-tricycle, motor-tricycle, look at this trunk space! You can go to the grocery store, you can pack your groceries in there, get some beers for the weekend, you can put your child in the back—don't put your child in the back—this thing can do small runs to the hardware store. You can pick up hammers, nails, screws, whatever you need for the weekend to get your stuff done. This is part motorcycle, part car, and all fun.

Other cool functions on this, it's got a reverse unit on it. So, it uses the starter motor to help back the bike up. So, you're trying to get into your parking space, you're trying to get into a parking spot at the grocery store, at the mall, at the bike night, you just hit the button, and it reverses back for you. Powered assisted reverse to make sure that you can get this thing parked squared up. It's a heavy bike, you can move it around, I have the parking brake on so I can't move it around, so even though it does have a reverse function on it, it's not that tough to move it around on a flat surface if you use the assisted handguards on the back, you can easily move this bike around. It's a big, heavy bike, but with a little bit of cautious movability, you can make this thing go around you.

One of the really cool details about these trike models, on the back and Harley-Davidson's all about the details, the molded-in lines for the exhaust. You've got your dual exhaust coming out of the back, you've got this beautiful little smoke line across here, and then you've got the molded end of the trunk just peeking out with the exhaust right there, just really that hot rod look. It's super cool looking.

If you're looking to spend your hard-earned money on a trike, look no further than the Harley-Davidson Road Glide 3. This is a premium trike, and you're going to look good riding it, and you're going to feel even better when you're sitting behind the handlebars.
