Ornate Easter Egg with Antique Gold & Patina DIY by S.D. Kelley SagiCat Magic to Royalty Free Music

I am so pleased to show you how I created these aged looking Easter eggs with windows to an inner ageless magical world. I wanted these eggs to be far from the traditional Easter and Spring decor and actually be a bit rustic and ornate with an antique crackling effect and patina tarnished gold.
For the stands, I started with waste plastic bottles and cut the shapes desired, then applyed molded air dry clay and metallic gold paint. Next, I added crackle glaze, antiquing medium, and patina colored wax. I used a hot knife to cut out the stands and make hole passages for the timed LED fairy lights. 
The egg interiors are a combination of Easter rice paper for decoupaging and my own free hand painting with acrylic paints. For the exterior of the egg shells, I used acrylic paint mixtures in 2 to 3 layers, Crackle Glaze, decoupage, molded air dry clay painted gold, Triple Thick varnish, acrylic metalic paint in "dry brush", acrylic gloss, antiquing medium and patina colored gilding wax.

As of December 2022, I decided to take my channel in a different direction in terms of video presentation. I will still continue crafting, but focus more on crafts that I am more passionate about that I also believe you, my audience, will enjoy viewing. This includes, decoupaging, painting, makeovers, working with clay, seasonal decor, and budget crafting. I've also decided to let the craft work I demonstrate with my hands to speak more for teaching with only minimal written guidance as my viewers enjoy the sounds of magical Celtic-like and midieval royalty free music.
