Bhagavata prabhashanam malayalam by Sri Paleli Narayanan Namboothiri. An ardent devotee of Sree Guruvayurappan, Paleli had conducted several Bhagavatha Sapthahams at the Sree Krishna temple here for nearly five decades. A Sanskrit scholar, Narayanan Namboothiri had excelled in the rigveda examination at Brahmaswam Madham, Thrissur. He played a major role in the development of the Madham by leading development projects. He had also served as the president of the Madham for a long period. Narayanan Namboothiri did his post graduation in Malayalam from the Sree Sankara Collage, Kalady, the Thrissur Keralavarma College and the Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, after completing graduation at the CMS High School, Thrissur.

Later, he joined the Airapuram Shree Sankara College, Perumbavoor, as a teacher. While working there, he also completed post graduation in Sanskrit. In 1970, Narayanan Namboothiri joined the Aluva UC College as a teacher. He ended his professional life prematurely in 1997. Born in 1941, Narayanan Namboothiri had been performing saptahams independently since 1980.

He also wrote several books, including ‘Vedakiranangal’, which was aimed at bringing rigveda to the common people, ‘Bhagawata Chinthagal’, ‘Devinarayaneeyam’ and Ekadasa Skandhathiloode’. The scholar had attracted thousands to discourses and conveyed the message of Bhavatham which changed the life-style of thousands of devotees. His discourses were marked by their unique style of oration. Paleli’s articles on Srimad Bhagavatham in the style of a discourse between guru and shishya were published in Bhakthapriya of the Guruvayur Devaswom. Hundreds of devotees expressed  condolence on the sudden demise of the renowned scholar who imparted the spirit of Srimad Bhagavatham here for many years. Paleli was honoured by Guruvayur Devaswom on Ashtamirohini.
