On April 2nd, Animal Justice lawyers got major provisions of Ontario’s ag-gag law Bill-156 struck down. The judge ruled that the law unconstitutionally violated Canadians’ freedom of expression.

In this AJA Lunchtime Live, we talk about how what went into defeating ag-gag legislation for the first time in Canadian history. We also go through the details of the Ontario court’s ruling, what precedence it could set, when the ruling comes into effect, and what this means to undercover investigations.

We also discuss what's next in the fight against ag-gag laws that try to hide the cruelty of the meat, dairy, egg and fur farming industries.
