4x8 HOn3 Model Railroad: Georgetown Loop

Описание к видео 4x8 HOn3 Model Railroad: Georgetown Loop

The Georgetown Loop was completed in 1884 and was designed to connect the towns of Georgetown and Silver Plume via rail, so that the silver mined in Silver Plume could be brought east to refineries and smelting facilities. It later served primarily as a tourist railroad, since the value of silver dropped dramatically in 1893. Today the Loop has been restored as a tourist railroad, and remains an enormously popular attraction in Colorado. This 4 by 8 foot layout depicting the Loop in HOn3 scale took about 2 years to complete, and captures the manner in which the line gains significant elevation over a short distance. #train #modelrailroad #modeltrains #colorado #railway
