The Wind Band is the largest wind ensemble in St Andrews and is the largest un-auditioned group with the university Music Society. The Band plays under the direction of student conductors with a mixed repertoire designed to be challenging, yet accessible. It is the only group of its kind in St Andrews, and plays a wide variety of music, from arrangements of film scores to purpose-written wind band music.
