Dry Camping In The Colorado Mountains

Despite the weather forecast, we took the palomino, popup, truck camper out to Lodgepole campground for a boondocking, dry camping weekend.
The bipolar weather turned out to give us enough time to get in a nice bike ride and a little brook trout fishing down at the creek. Not only that, we also had a chance to relax with a good book.

Out of state family issues had us worried the whole time and without cell service we could not get any updates. We almost canceled the weekend and flew back to Texas on Friday, but decided there was nothing we could do except make matters worse, so we decided to stay the course.
Worry and regret were setting in by mid afternoon Saturday and we decided to head back to civilization to get informed on the situation.
We did all we wanted to do anyway, plus the storm clouds were building again so all we were going to do was sit in the camper and worry.
In the end I am glad we made the decision to head back.
