Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, Germany was the world leader in land mine warfare, deploying some 35 million mines during the Second World War and developing mine designs and doctrines that remain influential to this day. In this video, I visit the Royal Canadian Artillery Museum in Shilo, Manitoba to look at some of these iconic mine designs.
