“No Future In Reform UK” | A Quarter Of Tory Voters Switch To Nigel Farage’s Party

Almost a quarter of voters who supported Boris Johnson in 2019 switched to Nigel Farage's Reform UK in July's General Election, a major analysis has found.

Research by Lord Ashcroft, conducted right after Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer’s big victory, shows that only 52% of 2019 Conservative voters stuck with the party this year. About 23% moved to Reform UK, 12% voted for Labour, and 7% chose the Liberal Democrats.

Conservative strategists are divided between those who think the party should move further right to win back Reform UK supporters and those who believe the key to success is appealing to Labour voters from the centre.
