What Grief Taught Me

One year ago, I suddenly lost my dad to COVID-19. 💔 This week’s video allowed me to reflect on what grief has taught me and though there is so much more to say, this is what I could put into words. Losing a loved one can be truly devastating and usually makes you question everything in your life. Experiencing grief can feel like it'll never end and feelings that come with that are super scary. I just want you to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I believe that the first step is to allow the sadness to come and go. Only then can our own happiness stand a fighting chance. I hope this video helps you find peace in remembering your loved one(s) and know that you can carry their spirit with you in everything you do. There is always Love there.

I’d like to also say Thank You to my sister, Tien Do, who helped me shoot some of the scenes included in this video. I was so happy to find that my creativity still blooms when I come back to my hometown. Until the next video, ya lovely people! Thank you so much for watching and listening. ❤️
